The purpose of the Bruentrup Heritage Farm is to preserve and tell the story of farming and farm life in the township of New Canada and later in the city of Maplewood.

The goals of the farm include:

1. Encourgage Education and Interpretation
2. Support Learning by Participation
3. Preserve Historical Authenticity
4. Attract people, organizations and community support.
5. Maintain the home for the Maplewood Area Historical Society
